Brewed in the Fushimi district of Kyoto, the sake from the Kizakura Brewery is produced in the oldest sake-brewing district of Japan, famous for its ideal brewing conditions. Pure rice (Junmai) sake is considered by some sake-drinkers to be the purest method, since no additional alcohol is added during the brewing process. The Kizakura Brewery uses the crispest ground water and rice kernels polished to 50% to achieve a premium sake flavor. Sulfite-free and gluten-free, this sake is medium-bodied and carries a velvety texture with a smooth, lingering finish.
